Update 50 was released on 18 July 2019 for Minecraft 1.12.2.
A special celebratory update video was made for this 50th update video, showing some of the history of the mod and featuring many cameos from developers and members.

Synopsis[]
Matt and John travel in time to defeat Cowman in this celebratory 50th Update video.
Plot[]
Matt arrives and admires John's TARDIS, now using the newly added 13th Doctor Exterior and Interior. They begin chatting about it and a John mentions a cool new feature he wants to show Matt when the TARDIS goes haywire. A hologram of Cowman appears, and he explains that he has set up looping command blocks which will ban any SWDTeam member as soon as they enter the Overworld. John lands the TARDIS on Gallifrey, where the signal can't reach them. Suddenly Cowman arrives and shoots their TARDIS causing it to dematerialize (as John had turned the new HADS feature on) then begins to chase them. Matt goes to summon his own TARDIS before realizing he left his key in his safe. John reveals the feature he wanted to show Matt earlier, a Vortex Manipulator, and they teleport away to Minecraft Classic where there are no cows. Matt takes the VM and they teleport away again as cows appear. They arrive in 2013 inside a TARDIS where UDWF1, RedDash and Johns past self are recording the 1 Year Anniversary video. 2013 John looks up and sees the other him causing 2019 John and Matt to quickly flee as cows yet again appear. This time they appear in 2015, running out of charge for the VM. We cut to present day where Cowman is pleased his plan is working. We cut back to 2015 where Matt has the idea to ask his past self for his TARDIS key. John rejects this idea saying it's too dangerous and could crash the server. They instead ask MrCedric to do it for them. He asks for Matt's key saying he forgot it and RedDash gives it to him. After he leaves 2015 Matt appears from the other room asking who was there and the team look around confused. Matt, John and Cedric enter Matt's TARDIS. Cedric notices the TARDIS looking different asking if they added new blocks. They decide to not tell Cedric they're from the future and decide to go to 2017 to pick up Time Lord Gamer as he's defeated Cowman once before.. They dematerialize him from real life and bring him into the game. They land on Moon and realize they missed an entire year and are now in 2019. John codes in a forcefield for the TARDIS so they can land in the Overworld. They land and publish Update 49, causing the events of that video. We continue from where it left off with Matt telling the staff team the plan. The staff team are to clear the spawn so TLG can get to and destroy the redstone signal under the beacon so Matt and John can leave the TARDIS and kill Cowman. The team prepares to fight whilst John locates Cowman's base. The team line up at spawn and charge into battle. Ramen questions where Dutch is before seeing him ride into battle riding a polar bear. Cedric nears the beacon when a Steampunk Dalek faces him. Cedric reminds it that he created it and it turns and sacrifices itself to clear the way to the beacon. Cedric ignites a firework letting Timelord Gamer know it's safe to proceed. TLG flies down and explodes the redstone signal, sacrificing himself in the process. Matt and John land at Cowman's face for the final showdown. They begin to fight with guns. Cowman orders all allies to return to base to protect him. Matt covers John whilst he gets to a control panel and disables Cowman's control. He does so stopping Cowman's backup from arriving. Cowman runs out of ammo and begins to head to the safe. John places classic TNT and explodes it to try and stop him but it misses getting him instead. Matt runs over to check on him allowing Cowman to get more ammo. Cowman is about to shoot Matt but he uses the VM to teleport behind Cowan and shoot him instead, killing him once and for all.

Trivia[]
This update was the conclusion of the Cowman storyline that had started way back in TLG's Dalek Mod Review.
This update was the second part of the story started in Update 49.
This update currently contains the biggest cast of any singular update video with 13 people.
The entire scene revolving around the 1 Year Anniversary video was included as the events coincidentally lined up perfectly for this updates story. The other John in the original video was actually Matt in disguise as they were filming it on his server.
It was originally left ambiguous as to whether TLG had survived the explosion in the video, however it was later confirmed in Update 62 Day 14 that he had not.
Josia was played by Didgeridoomen in the video, and Khotarri was played by MrCedric. UDWF1 and TLG used pre-recorded lines.
A teaser for this update was released a month before on the SWDExtra YouTube channel.
